Does the truth really set you free? I used to believe that it did. Now, I think that sometimes, the truth just stabs you in the heart and makes it hard to breathe. Would it be better to live in ignorant bliss? Who knows?
I think it does, but it usually takes awhile to break out of your bondage. The consequences are usually instant, and you are left with the knowledge that you can move past it. Otherwise, you would always have that doubt in the back of your mind...wondering if keeping it in was worth it.
